Dave Toole is the CEO/founder of Outhink. Toole ran the technology company GaSonics, where as CEO he helped to grow revenues from $25M to $250M while globalizing the company and taking the company public. GaSonics took 5 products to the #1 position in their relative markets. He evangelizes social media at conferences, in workshops (MacWorld 2006), Digital Hollywood, OMMA, SXSW and as a board member at UC Santa Barbara's Center for Information Technology and Socitey. Dave is also a musician with a passion for the creative arts.

Have no Ideology, but I'd like to gun-fight!

G'day, I am an Aussie living in Japan. After 6 years of misery, depression, shame, embarassment and failed attempts to get in shape I finally took action with an old idea on November 8, 2006. That was to start a blog and document every single day of my fat loss journey with pictures and progress reports in order to hold myself accountable. So far so good. I successfully completed Mission 1 (12 weeks from Nov 8, 2006 to Jan 31, 2007). Now my focus is to help other people on their fat loss journey by showing in great detail what it really takes to transform your mind, body and life in a short period of time. I want to give back. My dream is to help other people reach their physique goals. I will soon receive my personal trainer certification which will help me do just that!

My name is Johnathan J. Stegeman/MidiMacMan, and I am a composer, web master, photographer, graphic artist, and freelance writer from Denver, Colorado. I am have been playing the piano since age five, and while I have had no classical or "formal" piano training, my self taught technique has been shaped mostly by ear, and my love for improvisational styles mixed in with fundamental theories about chord structures and harmonies. Without writing music, I wouldn't feel but maybe a fraction of the person I am. For music is my greatest passion, and therefore greatest source of sorrow, despair and frustration at times. It has occurred to me that my songs may be loved by even just a few other souls, after I have passed through this human existence. Sadly this happens to many more artists that you may have ever imagined. However, they never give up their motivation, as if forced by a ethereal force to continue their artistic expression. Almost a curse it can feel at times, but I don't think that any artist, whether successful, or not, would trade in this unseen force for anything in the world. I know for example: I would not trade my sense of hearing in for my sense of sight. But what a foolish bargain most people would agree. I cannot help the fact that my music is so much of me. Only in the last two years, and after great rejection by the music world, despite rigorous study through high school, and three years of study at the University of Colorado at Denver, have I taken up other artistic expressions. Web Design, Graphic Design, Freelance writing, and even advertising and product development are skills that I had no real training with, even through college. These skills have been fashioned through my own quest for knowledge, and are quite immature in development stages. Yet I am proud of where I have come, especially for the skills I have learned on my own. What it has taught me, is that the world is anyone's oyster, and you can harvest whatever riches you may admire with work and with the simplest desire. The open source video is a series of short clips from different people around the world describing what open source means to them. what is is, what it does why it is different from microsoft products. a real basic overview. even if you dont know that is good too. The videos are to be edited together and shown to a group of about 50 - 60 people at a "chamber of commerce meeting" - i was recently nominated myself to the group to share what i knew about open source and the differences and often improvements using open source can give.
