I am a videoblogger.
I am also into collaborating where groups of people make media better than anyone one person could do alone.
When I worked in television, everyone had a talent: shooting, editing, producing, music, titles/design.
Now we can use a tool like SpinXpress to build a process to make regular content each week.

I ride my bike...a lot - surf when the waves are right, and I board when there's snow (and I can afford it). My background is in music (concert promotions, marketing and artist management). These days I've been working in a lot of New Media. Check out some of my podcasts below or better yet - visit www.towerpod.com . I LOVE meeting and networking with new people. Check out my various thumbprints on the web by checking out the links to the left. Write me anytime...

{1} I am a filmmaker. Writer / director / producer. And I'm currently working on a film about race in America, the remnants of colonial days and the possibilities for healing. If you have something to say about race, racism, trauma, inherited legacies -- and want to say it on video -- let me know. I'm looking for contributors.

In the GRAMMY U Multi-Media Contest, each contestant will upload media content to an open source site (SpinXpress), and then select from this site various audio and visual clips to compile, edit and mix into their own 3-minute film for evaluation. The winner will deliver the best 3-minute audio-visual montage project addressing one of two themes: music education or philanthropy. All footage in the final project will be provided in the open source database of SpinXpress. Audio students should upload audio tracks and video students should upload video/animation tracks for their entry; the copyright of all clips should be owned by the student uploading them, and all content used in the contest will be only used for the duration of the contest. Contestants can collaborate with other contestants in the composition of their final project (See official rules for details). Five finalists will be selected by a panel of industry experts in early June 2007, after the contest has closed. All final entries will then be viewed at an industry GRAMMY U event (date TBD), with another panel of judges providing live feedback and deciding on the final winner, who will take home the Grand Prize.

For some reason, all these tracks sound really distorted in Windows Media player. They sound fine in other players, though. Try turning OFF your equalizer in Windows Media player. They sound fine if you turn it off.
