They provide community-style Acupuncture treatments in a group setting which allows everyone treated to experience relief from stress and trauma together. The treatments are given using a protocol which evolved from the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association or NADA. A protocol which uses five Acupuncture needles inserted into specific points on the ear.Recovery from post-traumatic stress, mirrors the recovery path for chemical addiction. Residents as well as responders in a Natural disaster face enormous mental and physical stresses upon not only the individual, but larger social systems such as the family, and community.
